My synaptics touchpad began malfunctioning while using LibreOfficeWriter- and after closing the pointer would only go across top of screen in a jerky pattern. After rebooting the touchpad no longer works.
My keyboard after reeboot is not like it was- (stutters, skips, double types, puts in extra spaces) since the update.
I had before this a sound issue that seemed to resolve.
//**NEW EDIT. after posting the touchpad regained function for no apparent reason. Later same day, using LibreOffice Writer again after about 1/2 hour, the touchpad became unresponsive, again. By the time I used journalctl command in a terminal, the touchpad came back. My backup mouse was still plugged in. It was not during the first event. Journalctrl returned info (error?) Synaptic that I’ve pasted in a separate post below //
