That package should’ve created the file /etc/X11/xorg.conf.d/10-mtrack.conf, which should be sufficient. I suggest you rename 30-touchpad.conf to 30-touchpad.conf.bak or delete it altogether, and reboot; the two configuration files are possibly clashing, and 30 is greater than 10, so that has priority.
