Tmpfs NOT cleared on reboot?

Just recognized that /tmp on my Manjaro XFCE stable is not cleared on reboot.

Googled and found this “google answer” that is NOT true for my system.

Does tmp get cleared on reboot?
Furthermore, any temporary files that are stored in the /tmp directory get removed immediately on system reboot. As such, the /var/tmp directory is used by programs to store data that needs to be preserved between reboots temporarily.

Yes, i reboot nearly every day!

Hi @JohnML,

There are many files created in /tmp on boot. So it’s not empty when you log in. Furthermore, many applications use it for temporary storage, which might autostart. I’m guessing the best way to test would be to shut down properly, and start up into a Live ISO and check there.

But, if you’re not having any trouble, then don’t worry further.
