I don’t know what have you got?
oh i have got a laptop with built in speakers
Audio muted? volume not turned up? Audio not enabled in the bios?
no sir nothing muted and volume is turned up full to 100%
Check the bios
what should i be looking for there sir?
If audio is mentioned make sure its enabled
ok ill check that asap
there was one option which said something about acoustic or something and i enabled it
but still no sound sir!!!
Uninstall manjaro-pipewire and then install manjaro-pulse.
manjaro-pipewire and manjaro-pulse are meta packages that is they contain a list of packages and various scripts to make them work. if you have pamac installed use that. I would reboot after each one.
yes sir i have pamac installed
what command should i enter?
Use the gui “Add/Remove Software”
Just tried manjaro-pipewire and it just works
i don’t know what is going on here
it says pipewire.socket is masked
is that a problem
i remember disabling pipewire earlier
how do i unmask it?
sudo systemctl unmask pipewire-socket
sudo systemctl enable --now pipewire
sudo systemctl daemon-reload
systemctl status pipewire
why does it say this?
