I have upgraded my mini pc with additional 8 GB RAM, so in total now 16 GB . In details a DDR4 ADATA (was already there), plus a DDR4 Crucial, both SO-DIMM 1.2v CL19. As shown here below:
# dmidecode 3.4

Question 1:
is it okay to have : Type Detail: Synchronous Unbuffered (Unregistered) ?
is it okay that for the Crucial RAM is Manufacturer: Unknown ?
Now if I do running free
command:
free
total used free shared buff/cache available
Mem: 13935 1460 11087 59 1386 12095
Question 2:
Why is the total RAM less than 16GB?
even considering 13.935 MiB, I’d have roughly 14.611 GB out of 16 GB, is it right?
I know, maybe it is fine, but any insight abuout this curiosity is very welcome.

Integrated GPUs can use some RAM for video exclusively.
This can also be controlled / adjusted in some BIOSes.
What graphics card do you have?

It is generally recommended to use identical RAM sticks by the same manufacturer.
I don’t see any other issues.
your CPU 3550H use share memory for video ,
about 2Gb in best mode Dual channel
this memory video part cant be use for classic memory usage , it is reserved for video ONLY
