The fate of Manjaro ARM Unstable

For those switching to EndeavourOS.

Can you tell me what they put in /etc/fstab, in /etc/environment, .bash_profile, .bashrc.
The size of the boot partition and if it’s FAT 16 or 32 formatting.
cmdline.txt and config.txt.

Personally, if I switch, it will be to Arch, so I might as well go straight to the source, and honestly, it’s not that complicated. For example, for Gnome, you can do pacman -S gnome networkmanager and then launch the gdm and networkmanager services. That’s the end of the basic configuration.

fstab had the boot partition only. i also added the root partition when i migrated to my SSD.

environment is basically blank.

bash_profile has this line only

[[ -f ~/.bashrc ]] && . ~/.bashrc

bashrc has:

[[ $- != i ]] && return

alias ls=‘ls --color=auto’
alias grep=‘grep --color=auto’
PS1='[\u@\h \W]$ ’

I don’t remember the size of the original boot partition, i made it 512mb and fat32. It works.

cmdline.txt

rw rootwait console=serial0,115200 console=tty1 fsck.repair=yes

config.txt

In the original config.txt, bluetooth was disabled. Endevour comes bluetooth disabled by default (for security reasons they say)

i find all here
https://github.com/endeavouros-arm/image-build-script/blob/main/script-image-build.sh and https://github.com/endeavouros-arm/image-build-script/blob/main/config-eos.sh

boot size apparently it’s 458 for manjaro, and 512 endeavour et recommended for bookworm https://forums.raspberrypi.com/viewtopic.php?t=359690. And gpt fot endeavour? need testing if disk/sdcard

Maybe you or someone else could synchronize the packages from time to time, for example, once a month?

I installed Manjaro on my Pi 5 using this image a while ago. It would always get regular updates over many months, but now not a single package has been updated since August. Is it dead?
