when I set up a hotsopt via NetworkManager or linux-wifi-hotspot (GitHub - lakinduakash/linux-wifi-hotspot: Feature-rich wifi hotspot creator for Linux which provides both GUI and command-line interface. It is also able to create a hotspot using the same wifi card which is connected to an AP already ( Similar to Windows 10).) (both of them use wpa_supplicant under the ground) with password, I can made the hotsopt SSID up, but none of my 5 phone or other WIFI device can connect to it ,neither of my colleague‘s
replace a new wlan card was also tried.
When I set the hotsopt SSID to open/without password, it works fine.
When I switch to IWD
use this package https://aur.archlinux.org/packages/networkmanager-iwd-overlay
,everything works fine,All my device can connect to the hotsopt with password under the combination of NetworkManager+IWD
I think there is some problem with the builtin wpa_supplicant
this should be easily be recurrent
