I’m happy with it I mean linux414 4.14.71

But:

When I want to use linux419 4.19rc4, I can’t even see the manjaro login screen without doing CTRL+ALT+F2, and when I see my desktop, I can’t even move my mouse and manjaro running slow I mean extreme slow

 there is nothing to do

Jonathan … I installed Manjaro 32-bit on an old Desktop which has an ATI RV350 {Radeon 9550}
Upgraded to mesa 18.2.1-0.02
mesa-vdpau 18.2.1-0.02 &
libva-mesa-driver 18.2.1-0.02
I was then prompted to install:
vulkan-radeon 18.2.1-0.02
vulkan-intel 18.2.1-0.02
which I did. Rebooted and reached desktop with no problems.
I am using Kernel 4.14.71-1
We may be good to go to push the above 3 packages to Stable so that most users can update their systems.
Kernel linux419-4.19rc4.0916 does not work on this or any of my other computers
with Nvidia GPU’s. Blank screen on ATI and Kernel Panic on Nvidia. I hope this helps
Thanks

Two possibilities - firstly, it’s an early pre-release. Secondly, it has PAE enabled so won’t boot on older CPUs which don’t have PAE support.

It is probably pre-release that is the problem because I think this CPU does have PAE support. Enclosed CPU details:

Firing up the rocket now…first…the update…
Edit - update gave me pamac, vulcan-intel and vulcal-raedon (both at 18.2.1.0-02) no login prompt, I’m rechrooting to grab the logs now…
watch this space for a pastebinb link
:scream_cat: no errors in xorg.log., mesa and C° were skipped, by the way… they are onthe ignore list…
should I post the list of stuff pacman installed?
Edit - runnign kernel 4.1, upgradign to 4.4 now, maybe that is the problem…
Edit - no luck. In whatever kernel I try, after entering graphical mode, it seems to turn off the screen (a white little frame int he middle with some text as if the screen i on but the PC not…)

Edit - :fireworks: success! - I had to remove VESA…it takes a few seconds longer to get to the login screen, but that can be tolerated…
So far, it seems okay. If logs are called for…lemme know

Clipit the clipboard manager seems buggy :upside_down_face: for me, it’s system tray icon keeps glitching out with weird off background and later on, it stops working if I copy too many items. I know a recent patch was issued to make it stable but seems there still are problem with this Application.
