7.2rc5 only, after shutdown, [22913.025904] usb usb5-port1: couldn't allocate usb_device is the only text sitting on a black screen, preventing shutdown (must force shutdown with Power button). I’m not seeing anything via journalctl. Assuming I’m searching correctly, I’m thinking this message/error occurs after journal stopped as there’s nothing between it and next boot. After searches, I noted 7.2rc5 contains a lot of USB changes, I’m wondering if there’s a regression.
EDIT: Hoping to test 7.2-rc6 in hopes of a fix to this bug (although not noted in Linus’ announcement).
