[Testing Update] 2026-07-09 - Kernels, Firefox, Xorg-Server, XWayland, Bluez, OpenSearch

kernel.sysrq = 244

…is enabeled and usually working (tested), but I had a complete stall.

I got my Bluetooth earbuds working normally with the new version of bluez by switching my audio server from pipewire to pulse.

sudo pacman -S manjaro-pulse jack2 pulseaudio-jack

Answer yes to replacement questions.

Remove the rest of the pipewire audio related packages, then reboot.

sudo pacman -R pipewire-audio pipewire-alsa gst-plugin-pipewire

Edit: It was working, then the sound started skipping on pulse. I decided to switch back to pipewire and give it another try. For now, my earbuds are working perfectly on pipewire. I am so confused. I’m glad they are working for the time being. I am not far from the laptop when the sound skips. I’m sitting right in front of the screen watching videos.

I’ve just noticed bluez seems to have had a package downgrade on the repos but I can’t find any notification about it here.
