For me, there was a new orphan to remove: ddcutil (no longer required by powerdevil).

The update seems very stable on my ThinkPad L480.
But when I use Wayland I face some issues with drop down terminal (Yakuake), it just drops and only returns when clicking on the icons again.
Other issue still on Wayland is with the latte-dock when showing the title(on hover) of the application, doesn’t open the menu(right click) of it, and when it shoes the menu does the same with Yakuake, stays frizzed until you click it again to close.

Got the same keying errors myself and the configuring error as well. I posted it in the previous testing thread before it got locked. I’ve rebooted several times and installed a couple of updates today and had no issues. Hopefully someone will shed some light on the errors but they don’t appear to have broken anything

What are they even thinking when they want Wayland to replace X11 but they don’t even bother to implement a lot of the basic functions that people actually need.

That’s a pretty strange statement.
I often use sway instead of i3 (which means wayland instead of X11) when I plan to connect an extra monitor, because with sway the other device is activated by default with the best resolution and gets automatically desktop-numbers. For i3wm (X11) I always have to use arandr to activate the other device and have to choose the right resolution. The only thing stopping me from always using sway and wayland is that some programs still have problems to work properly under wayland. I can name f. ex. geeqie and mediathekview. We can open a new thread if you’re interested in further discussion on this matter.

Sorry if this comes off as a stupid question but, with these 470 drivers, what would be the next step(s) to get a fully operational set-up with Wayland? And in what ballpark timeframe? Are we talking months or years ?

I’m on a Dell Precision 5540 with an internal 15" 4K monitor and an external 27" 4K monitor and scaling on X11 is an utter pain. It’s the only regret I have after switching from MacOS to Linux. The X11 scaling stuff always has a major downside and doesn’t work most of the time and the Gnome Tweaks font scaling is only good on one monitor and meh at best on the other. Tbh, it’s a major pain in the bottom.

Which is why I’m really looking forward to Wayland (for the past two years, since I switched)
