When I boot up, I get a startup screen that came with the hardware. Is there a way to replace it with a picture of my own?
I am still new to linux, so a simple solution would work best.

This is usually implemented in the firmware. If your firmware settings (UEFI or BIOS) do not have an option to exchange this boot graphic then I believe you cannot change it.
