Please note that also your local akonadi's DB needs to be upgraded after mariadb upgrade!

The new conky ( 1.11.4-1.1 ) seems to be fine. It runs now for about 4 hours and the RAM usage does not increase.

I finally managed to get the snaps support sorted out. All ISOs are shipping either gnome-software or discovery with flatpak and snap enabled. Maintainers can also add snaps pre-seeded on ISOs. This was part of the #snapcraftsummit this year. This way people can decide on how to use snaps with in Manjaro without hassle enabling it.


Manjaro Juhraya ISOs got updated, including snap support pre-activated: XFCE, KDE, Gnome

I tried Flatpak with gnome software and tried Quad Libet on cinnamon, it took a long time to install and would not launch complaining about some configuration file missing if this is standard I am not impressed.

When next stable update? The previous and this latest testing updates had 0 problems on my system with XFCE and 5.1.15. My first software (KeePassXC) is already complaining about new available version on my main manjaro system on stable branch.

Okay, Octopi is faulty again. There is no possibility to choose a terminal.

I think starting with Firefox Developer Edition 68.0b13, context menus use the system theme. Which looks strange when using a dark theme. So bookmarks background, right-click menus, etc. have a dark background now. It does not look good imo. I am hoping this is just a bug.

Also, this is separate problem from dark text input fields with dark system theme which can be fixed with widget.content.gtk-theme-override, which I have already set.

Since Phil now fixed flatpaks by changing something in bubblewrap, now everything seems pretty stable. So soon. I hope today or tomorrow, if no other big issues come up.

Btw @ManjaroTeam: Can security critical software like KeePassXC make it faster to stable, just like Firefox and Chromium? It is also complaining on my stable machine.

Seems I forgot to ship the needed sudo tool. Will check.


Normally it is included. Does it not work? It seems the dialog is obsolete.

The Octopi config file says SU_Tool_Name=automatic and that is konsole for me. But now xterm gets started.

Even the drop-down menus are dark now. So when the text input field is dark text on white background (if using the fix mentioned previously), the drop-down menu is in reverse. So visually not very consistent. Also that is an example on a dark-themed web page. Most web pages are not dark like this. So the effect is less appealing on majority of pages.

However, I can understand why someone might want all dark menus. But there should be an option to use a light context theme in the browser.

My solution for now from terminal:
GTK_THEME=Vertex-Maia firefox-developer-edition

(or theme of your choice)

To modify desktop shortcut
cp /usr/share/applications/firefox-developer-edition.desktop ~/.local/share/applications

Edit ~/.local/share/applications/firefox-developer-edition.desktop

I don't even see this problematic terminal tab in Octopi 0.9.0.9. How old is your KDE installation @rexmalcolm? Phil could be right about a defunct option in your octopi configuration file causing this issue.
