Pamac can’t be interrupted by Ctrl-C:

$ pamac checkupdates
^C^C^C^[[A

^C^C^C^C

Your system is up-to-date.

Pamac 10.2.2-5

And you shouldn’t - you would risk and unbootable system.

Depending on the current status of your system and the process - interupting the process leaves the possibility of post upgrade hooks not being executed and thus your system will break.
