[Testing Update] 2018-06-18 - Kernels, Mesa, Texlive, XFCE

Now you confused me… Look at the announcements, there are almost no topics with “Unstable” in it, all “Testing” refer to unstable repo, at least so far I can judge - they match. Also all say that testing repo is just for some special cases packages, so unless you are not a developer who is knowing what to do, there are two usable repos, stable and unstable.

If Unstable users post on Testing, then it’s for them to explain, not me.
Unstable has a Category which rightfully is on the Development Section.
But don’t take my word on this. Maybe @jonathon can describe better the forum structure.

Testing announcements refer specifically to updates in the testing branch.

Unstable announcements are rare as the frequency of changes is far too high, and so are normally limited to major changes which require rebuilds (e.g. GCC, pacman, icu, etc.).

This is also a reason I created the #manjaro-development:testing-branch and #manjaro-development:unstable-branch categories so discussion of ongoing issues isn’t spread over several threads.

You might need to advertise this more, I guess.
