Hi community,

welcome to another testing update of Manjaro. Our most effort went into Kernel v4.17 series. All extramodules got patched against upstream changes made the last couple of days. Additionally you find the regular upstream updates like python and qca.

Our effort and all the needed information about the new security risk can be found here.

So please report back and give us feedback for given changes made to our repositories. Users of our 32-bit Distro should read this.

I have some spacing issues on the terminal:

The last character I typed is the “?” but my cursor is blinking far more to the right.

Downgrade noto-fonts until it is patched upstream and pushed to the repos.

Within Console proflle settings you can change your font to Droid Sans Mono, which looks very similar to Noto Sans Mono.

Nothing new to report so far. I got almost nothing new in this release in my case: just 3 packages.

Once again, Pamac 6.2.7-1 detected and showed updates flawlessly.

I started to see random horizontal lines in the terminal using yakuake as is shown in the image:

Someone posted the same issue:

It seems there is a fix in upstream:
https://bugs.kde.org/show_bug.cgi?id=373232

I have not found a workaround.

Hello all!

I am not 100% this has to do with the ne updates. But I saw there were issues with Fonts, so…

After rebooting my laptop today (07-april) my xfce4 session was restarted and I had to recreate a new pannels and sett all my prefs again (I did not have a backup of the config files). As I had put myself into some trouble with theme configurations two weeks ago, I am OK with the all-reset xfce4 session.

After setting it up, not having any problems.

I am excited to install kernel 4.17 but I think I will enjoy 4.16.0-1-really for a while first.
