"testing": kmail and kate didn't work, found "solution" for kate but kmail still "offline"

since todays updates …
Symptoms: mailbox and maildir “unable to start”, kmail permanently offline. Cannot receive new mail.

Reverting to yesterdays snapshot resolved that problem.
