Testers needed: Manjaro KDE massive cleanup/rename

Mine has this ─ not my doing; it was there by default… :arrow_down:

[ -r /usr/share/bash-completion/bash_completion ] && . /usr/share/bash-completion/bash_completion

Yup, like I said … newer things now have a poorer version of above … but its better than the cf one.
I wonder … does it work with sudo for example ?
Ex:

$ sudo pacm <TAB>
pacman             pacman-db-upgrade  pacman-mirrors
pacman-conf        pacman-key         pacmd
$ sudo pamac up <TAB>
update   upgrade

Well, with the complete line ─ which sits farther down in the file ─ it only works if I know the exact file I want to work on, because if said file is in a directory I don’t have read access too, then it won’t work.

And, I have to hit Tab twice.

not files … commands … defaulting to files indicates autocomplete is not working.
(see above)

Yes, but like I said, I have to hit Tab twice.

Ah. Sad days. No double-tap for me. But thats probably subjective preference.
Like I said - at least that old one is gone now - it was known crap years ago. … glad someone finally changed it.

Why the change of heart and why showing a crop from Qt5-Settings when we talk about Plasma color-schemes?

@igorp - this is slightly better than the previous one, if you want to give it a try

No that was just a sample color contrast example , like if the background is light make borders and titlebar looks dark, like that :sweat_smile:

Hi Bogdan,

I have tried. See the screenshot…

What would be great for me and why I wrote in the first place is the dark shade of green in the volume widget (affected by plasma settings).

Now, please check the area 1 (red box) and area 2 (blue box).
If there is a way that #006e62 becomes #009382
and #224a4a#0d5750

Maybe this is related to transparency of widget, I do not know…

However, it is not show-stopper anyway :slight_smile:

Thank you for color tune, in any case.

Best regards,
IgorP

Now I can see that those volume bar widget colors act like ZOOM and drive capacity bars in Dolphin, when Dolphin is inactive

Active

screenshot_20211219-222428

Inactive

screenshot_20211219-222457

So, I would be very happy, if I can see these colors:
screenshot_20211219-222428

In a volume widget horizontal bars

Its on those ‘0,110,…’ and ‘0,120,…’ lines … those are the extra-dark teals in bogdans color scheme.
You probably want them to be ‘0,152,134’, as thats the ‘bright’-ish teal being used in that scheme.

I think preinstalled emoji fonts would be great.
noto-fonts-emoji-apple package is perfect IMO.
Is it just plasma or all DE?

1 Like

Agreed.

It should be desktop-agnostic.

noto is quite heavy. I do install it … but is it really necessary on an ISO ?

noto-fonts-emoji is only 8.6 MiB. :man_shrugging:

Ah you are right … for some reason I thought it was part of the whole noto web, but I checked and its not. (where I actually think there is more merit … because of things like non-latin script etc)

I remember that when I installed Manjaro ─ 'twas Illyria, 18.0.4 ─ it came with just about every Noto font installed, for every exotic language.

I thought it was quite overwhelming, but in a way, it does of course also make that you won’t be running into any mojibake on certain websites or in certain applications, because everything is there ─ minus CJK, but that’s another story. :wink:
