Terminus font name fix after freetype2 update to 2.7.1-1

font

#21

Yeah, you’re right, it matches DejaVu Sans.
I guess there’s another alias to correct, can you tell me which one?

#22

Maybe you need to update font cache with sudo fc-cache -r? Or maybe logout and login? On my system it works with urxvt as I wrote in OP.

EDIT. Don’t forget to create a symlink in /etc/fonts/conf.d/

#23

Symlink is in place, ran fc-cache, rebooted. No…

I will check other files in /etc/fonts/conf.d

Do you have a file named 75-yes-terminus.conf in there?

EDIT: Problem identified. It was either yes-terminus or no-bitmaps.conf. Removing symlink fixed the problem.

#24

No, I don’t. I have 70-yes-bitmaps.conf.

#25

Are you sure this line in your PKGBUILD is OK?

install -Dm755 "$srcdir/$pkgname/mhwd-tui" "$pkgdir/usr/bin/mhwd-tui"

#26

No, it was just a placeholder. I had working pkgbuild that I offered to the repos

# Maintainer: Chrysostomus @forum.manjaro.org

 pkgname=terminusfix
 pkgver=0.1
 pkgrel=1
 pkgdesc="A simple alias for terminus-font"
 arch=(any)
 url="https://github.com/Chrysostomus/$pkgname"
 license=('MIT')
 depends=('bash')
 makedepends=('git')
 source=("git://github.com/Chrysostomus/$pkgname")
 md5sums=('SKIP')

 package () {
 	cd "$srcdir"
         install -Dm755 "$srcdir/$pkgname/33-TerminusPcfFont.conf" "$pkgdir/etc/fonts/conf.d/33-TerminusPcfFont.conf"
 }

But we instead decided to integrate the alias to the terminus package itself so everyone should get it automatically

#27

I see. Also, does -Dm755 set executable permission to .conf file? Why? Maybe I am wrong.

#28

A typo. But yes, very much not necessary.

#29

No, not necessary, fonts configs are 644 IIRC.
