hi im armin an new to linux. I have a problem with the terminal. When i want to type something in it wants my password. I now when im typing the password in the characters are invisible. After I typed the passwort in it says it doesnt worked. What could be the problem?
Typing in a terminal does not require password.
Password is only needed for administrative tasks.

is there a way to get this admin password?
No - passwords are stored hashed and salted - next to impossible to reconstruct - which is the entire purpose with a password.

i downloaded jdk11 to open a jar file, but i dont know how to “activate” it. I read something about writing something in the terminal so the app will be installed
