Terminal language

I’m new to linux and wanted to get Japanese to work and failed
but now my terminal and add/remove software is in Japanese i believe it was after i installed
fcitx-mozc 2.26.4220.102.g1882e33-1 I cannot find anything wrong with any of the language setting anywhere i also tried building one of the other options though it refused my password then I restarted and the terminal language was different it will now accept my password everything in
sudoedit /etc/default/locale
LANG=en_US.UTF-8
LC_ADDRESS=en_US.UTF-8
LC_IDENTIFICATION=en_US.UTF-8
LC_MEASUREMENT=en_US.UTF-8
LC_MONETARY=en_US.UTF-8
LC_NAME=en_US.UTF-8
LC_NUMERIC=en_US.UTF-8
LC_PAPER=en_US.UTF-8
LC_TELEPHONE=en_US.UTF-8
LC_TIME=en_US.UTF-8

You should use fcitx5 and fxitx5-mozc, it’s a newer and better version.

Thanks for the tip but that does not fix my problem.
