GNOME seems to crash, taking to much processes with it

I experience a strange and extremely annoying behaviour. I have a manjaro box on an iMac 27" using GNOME. Some time after the WM goes into power saving, it seems my desktop session dies. Along with it goes my tmux which is supposed to survive this. I can’t see that it restarts which would explain the absence of any tmux session but my knowledge is a bit outdated (I can’t really figure out why I can’t find many logs and why I have to use sudo even with a root shell when less /var/log/anything). So I’m not sure where to look and what I’m looking for. After most of these crashes GNOME has reset most of my display settings, activated a not attached monitor output and changed the resolution which sould never happen.

I tried to insert all the info that the manual asks for but then I can’t post this question because it complains about me trying to insert links. I coul’d not find any links in the log and it does not tell in which line it thinks it found a link sou I either cant post od cant insert logs. Very strange.

Now it seems to work. No 420 error anymore, no complaining about links which aren’t there.
