Kdenlive 21.08.1 crashes on startup (segmentation fault) when gpu acceleration is enabled

When the Configure Kdenlive → Playback → Use GPU processing (Movit library) checkbox is set, Kdenlive crashes (after i restarted it). I’m on latest Manjaro stable release, with mlt installed alongside rtaudio and movit (and these optional deps: sdl2, libsamplerate, sox, ffmpeg, vid.stab, qt5-svg, jack, ladspa, libexif, frei0r-plugins, opencv, rubberband, gdk-pixbuf2, pango, python)

Here’s the logs:

I’m wondering if i have any options left for troubleshooting. looks pretty unsolvable to me  .

BTW, for anyone facing startup crash problems with kdenlive, locate this file ~/.config/kdenliverc and edit gpu_accel=true entry to gpu_accel=false to disable gpu acceleration (listed as Use GPU processing (Movit library) in kdenlive configurations).

u/f_r_d: You need nvidia cards for movit…

feeling dumb now. at least i know better now.
