System stops booting

After the update to 26.0.0 the system interrupts booting at this point (last three lines)
Reached target Graphical Interface
Starting TLP system startup/shutdown
Finished TLP system startup/shutdown
Only a blinking underscore appears in the fourth line.

Based on the information in your profile, it looks like you are using an NVIDIA gpu(at least on some of your devices), so it is quite possible that this is a video driver-related issue after a new update . The TLP message is usually not the root cause, but simply the last one that shown before the graphical session starts; here are some similar discussions:

Thanks, Konstiantin, for your information! Before reading them I did: pacman -S linux612-nvidia-575xx
Now, my stem runs with kernel 612.
What not works is pacman -S linux617-nvidia-575xx or using the free driver.

Is no longer supported, and therefore, neither is the Nvidia driver module for that kernel.
