Just pointing out you have missing BIOS updates, including one that mentions missing audio.

Thanks for letting me know. Updated the BIOS to the latest version. The problem persists still.

There is no active profile. Select one. Anything else is alright.

This happens when no profile was chosen. Usually it should select one automatically. :man_shrugging:

Both audio devices are using Active Profile: off because it is the only Profile shown as available: yes. All other Profiles are shown as available: no
Also Ports for analog-output-lineout and analog-output-headphones are not available

@diptaks
I suggest first to disable Auto-Mute Mode in ALSA

amixer -c0 sset 'Auto-Mute Mode' Disabled

Then configure an audio player to connect direct to card 1 in ALSA
(sysdefault:CARD=Generic_1 or front:CARD=Generic_1,DEV=0)
to test if audio playback is working to front headphone jack and rear line-out jack

Please also post response to this command to show any error messages relating to PulseAudio

systemctl --user -l --no-pager status pulseaudio.socket pulseaudio.service

@megavolt I am a complete noob here. How do I do this?

@nikgnomic the command outputs this. I am guessing it failed to disable auto mute mode.

$ amixer -c0 sset 'Auto-Mute Mode' Disabled
amixer: Unable to find simple control 'Auto-Mute Mode',0

@nikgnomic I am sorry if I come across bothersome, but I have no idea how i can do this.

@nikgnomic pulseaudio.service seems to be disabled. no idea why. I made no changes to anything before i created the topic.

$ systemctl --user -l --no-pager status pulseaudio.socket pulseaudio.service

Program: pavucontrol

Select one under “Configuration”. The builtin Sound GUI of Gnome in the settings seems not have this.

Thank you so much!!! After selecting a profile in pavucontrol, my sound is back!

Thanks to everybody who had tried to help me resolve my issue. Greatly indebted to the Manjaro Community.

Previous command to disable auto-mute had incorrect card number

amixer -c1 sset 'Auto-Mute Mode' Disabled

pulseaudio.service is controlled by pulseaudio.socket and does not need to be enabled
More important that pulseaudio.socket and pulseaudio.service are both: active (running)
