System hängt sich auf!

Hallo Leute,
seit dem letzten Update hängt sich manchmal das System auf, das heisst, es nimmt keinen Befehl mehr an. Ich muss dann den Rechner abschalten und neu booten.

Also mir sagt das leider gar nichts. Kann da jemand helfen?

du hast sicherlich eine neuere nvidia-karte die der olle nouveau-treiber nicht “schluckt”. ist ein thema für sich aber der nouveau-treiber taugt (leider) von zwölf bis mittag. öffne bitte mal einen terminal und poste uns die ausgabe des obligatorischen

inxi --admin --verbosity=7 --filter --no-host --width

dann sehen wir welche hardware, welche treibermodule etc… installiert sind.

Scheint ein Problem mit einen Anwendung zu sein, die Anfragen an den Treiber stellt, die diesen dann zum Einfrieren bringt. Ich hab das mal gefunden: 1479038 – [NVE7] GPC0/TPC0/MP trap: global 00000000 [] warp 3f0009 [ILLEGAL_INSTR_ENCODING]

den Nvidia Treiber installieren.

yup, ist’ne 1650 und der nouveau ist aktuell der genutzte treiber. bevor du das änderst prüfe mal ob es ein aktuelleres bios gibt. deins ist aus 2019 und es ist immer passend bei solchen gelegenheiten das man vorher das system auf vordermann bringt.
das installieren des nvidia treibers ist im manjaro-wiki recht gut beschrieben und wird (toi,toi,toi) problemlos laufen. du prüfst folgendes im terminal:

glxinfo | grep server

wenn alles richtig funktioniert hat meldet er dir das nvidia-modul

wahrscheinlich gar nicht, es gibt aber die möglichkeit dir ein windows-live system auf einem usb-stick zu installieren und dann das bios unter windows zu machen. wenn es ein aktuelleres bios gibt solltest du schauen welche änderungen/neuerungen es hat. wenn es wichtige dinge sind lohnt sich die mühe, wenn es nur kosmetik ist die nicht viel einfluss hat würde ich es lassen. es ist aber generell gut mal nachzuschauen was es als bios-updates so gibt, vor allem wenn der rechner schon etwas älter ist. spätestens nach 2 jahren interessiert die hersteller in der regel das verkaufte produkt meistens eh nicht mehr.

Hallo Olli,
wäre kein Problem ein Windows-Livesystem laufen zu lassen. Muss ich mir mal überlegen. Wie Du schon sagtest, die Hersteller kümmern sich um ältere Geräte nicht mehr so gerne. Ich hatte tatsächlich ein Update von Lenovo laufen lassen, bevor ich auf Linux umgestiegen bin. Das war eigentlich nur Kosmetik gewesen.

In jedem Fall aktualisiere ich mal die Grafiktreiber, vielleicht ist damit das Problem gelöst.

Soll heißen: Wir wissen es nicht ob swap eingerichtet ist oder nicht.
