Suspend, hybrid sleep and hibernate mode don't works

There’s a problem when i let my laptop open for few minuts without using it, in this time it doesn’t go to the sleep mode and just show a black screen even after click Space or Enter. the weird thing is that it still work.

my version is Manjaro-XFCE 20.1
my laptop informations are in my profile

:+1: Welcome to Manjaro! :+1:

Please read this:

and post some more information so we can see what’s really going on. Now we know the symptom of the disease, but we need some more probing to know where the origin lies…

  1. An inxi --admin --verbosity=7 --filter --no-host --width would be the minimum required information… (Personally Identifiable Information like serial numbers and MAC addresses will be filtered out by the above command)

  2. After a reboot, please do the following:

journalctl --system --boot=-1 | grep "suspend entry"
journalctl --system --boot=-1 | grep "suspend exit"

then have a look at the begin and end time and post the output of:

    journalctl --system --boot=-1 --since "YYYY-MM-DD HH:MM:SS" --until "YYYY-MM-DD HH:MM:SS"

where obviously --since is the datetime of suspend entry and --until is the datetime of suspension exit.

:+1:

Hi, the output of ```
journalctl --system --boot-1 | grep “suspend entry”

ournalctl: unrecognized option '--boot-1'
------------------------------
There isn't any output for ```
journalctl --system --boot=-1 | grep "suspend exit"

My mistake:

that should have had a = before the -1 but from your journalctl --system --boot=-1 | grep "suspend exit" having no output I can infer:

Please try this then:

journalctl --system --boot=0 | grep "suspend entry"

If that gives no output neither, is your system set up to suspend and hibernate?

P.S. Multiple lines of text: 3 backticks as the first and last line of the output. Just one word in a sentence: one backtick before and after the word…
