Suspend / Hibernate kicking off twice with multi-pal users logged in

XFCE

“GDBus.Error:org.freedesktop.login1.OperationinProgress: There’s already a shutdown or sleep operation in progress”

Two users are logged on at the same time using the “Switch user” function. If the lid is closed while both sessions are logged in, the system will send the suspend / hibernate commend under both sessions, which result in an error stating a hibernate or sleep process is already in progress on the non-active session.

I would like to either:
A. Only kick this process off by the active session
or
B. Suppress the error.

I have tried to google this, but I get results on how not to suspend, or how fix suspend that is not working. I am exactly sure what to look for. I was able to edit PolKit to get the system to stop requesting passwords for said suspend mode.

Any help will be greatly appreciated

Notification > Applications
xfce4-power-manger = Disabled

I turned logging on for all applications.

I tested and the notification is logged under the power manger.
Unfortunately, the notification for

“GDBus.Error:org.freedesktop.login1.OperationinProgress: There’s already a shutdown or sleep operation in progress”

Still appears.
