The solution proposed in that thread worked. I first confirmed that I was running kernel 6.10.6-10-MANJARO, and the problem still existed (because some responses to that thread suggested it was older kernels with the problem). Then I performed the solution suggested and rebooted. My machine now suspends and awakens again. Thank you @linux-aarhus!!!
