Sudden Drop In Signal Strength and Limited Connectivity Error

Hello !

I am new to the manjaro forum. Quick history on me ; I got manjaro about a year ago as I was searching for a fast OS and my friend recommended it. I have dual booted it alongside Windows 10 on a Dell Vostro 15 3568 laptop. I haven’t faced many issues using manjaro but I have a limited RAM of 4gb which causes my laptop to hang often while multitasking.

Problem : Recently my laptop has been detecting low signal strength of my wifi network. My phone and other devices are working fine at the same distance from the router. Network Manager in my system tray keeps showing “Log in required” message which usually only happens when I restart my router and it goes away after a few minutes. But now I have had this issue for 5 days and am unable to connect to the wifi sometimes. Could someone please help me with this issue?

I am new to the forum so please forgive me if I have broken any rules.

Thank you !

I have this problem when running a VPN. Just my results. The limited speed that is and manjaro warns me. Seems it is sentive to network speed. Your mileage may vary.

Ohhh.
Is there any fix that you might have found for this? Cause my laptop just doesn’t detect the wifi at all on Manjaro but Windows is able to pick up the signal pretty well…
Thanks so much for the reply tho @1Travler

This may or may not help. I am by no means an expert. just learning. jrichard326

What is the LAN lease time in the router config? Setting it to 24 hours (86400) might help.
