Still getting qt5ct error with correct /etc/environment configuration

qt5ct = 0.25-1

The QT_QPA_PLATFORMTHEME environment variable is not set correctly

My /etc/environment file is:
#
# This file is parsed by pam_env module
# technical-issues-and-assistance
# Syntax: simple “KEY=VAL” pairs on separate lines
#
BROWSER=/usr/bin/xdg-open
QT_QPA_PLATFORMTHEME=qt5ct

Well, if it’s not set to qt5ct then what is it set to?
I see in your profile you use lxqt. Now, I don’t know a thing about lxqt, but we lxde users have been faced with a nasty bug/oversight, perhaps lxqt suffers from the same issue?

i can confirm that i am also having this issue with LXDE

yaourt qt5gtk2

What is the output of echo $QT_QPA_PLATFORMTHEME? If it is other than qt5ct then you have this issue. Some session managers like cinnamon have hardcoded to export gtk. For that it doesn’t matter what you add. Also what desktop environment do you use? Is it LxQT with OpenRC as init system?

echo $QT_QPA_PLATFORMTHEME
lxqt

My DE is LXQT with OpenRC.

mine is also even thoght i am on LXDE

lxqt

it did not do anything

Its all fine afaik, lxqt has its own qt platform plugin, hence lxqt.
You don’t need qt5ct on lxqt.

Thank you. I just uninstalled qt5ct and just removed that line from my /etc/environment file.

Following to Wiki, after restart I get this error:

Please remove the QT-STYLE-OVERRIDE.
environment variable

I deleted the line QT-STYLE-OVERRIDE=gtk2
But still it gives error. (Manjaro-Xfce)
