Steam "Create or select new Steam library folder" blank

Hello

This is a fresh installation of Manjaro. I have just installed Steam and I am unable to select or create a new library folder.

When I go to Steam>Settings>Storage>Add Drive the box that comes up to select the folder is blank, it has the buttons at the bottom but no file tree at all. Clicking “New Folder…” or “Select” do Nothing.

Should this box be using Thunar for file navigation?

How is steam installed? As a SNAP?

No, it was installed normally from repo

Not to worry though, I found the issue

Downgrading xdg-desktop-portal from v1.18 to v1.16 fixed the issue. changes just didnt take effect until a reboot.
