After booting the following error raised up:

[FAILED] Failed to start Light Display Manager.

So I’ve login from console (ctrl+alt+F2) and have typed startx. At the beginning all seemed fine but after few seconds the laptop just frozen.
Any help would be appreciated.
Thanks

Since when?
Fresh install?

It’s not a fresh install.
The problem of lightdm failure is raised up after I started using kernel linux57.
And reason why I started using this kernel is that linux56 gave me a screen issue at suspend (blank screen).

Blank screen at suspend is usually caused by services that don’t stop.
If you installed some services that do not like being shut maybe that was the cause.

I’ve already opened an issue here:
https://forum.manjaro.org/t/blank-screen-after-backlight-service/6175
I’ve just followed the answers.
Anyway how can I find out if services that don’t stop are causing the blank screen issue?
Can you give me more informations?

Hello,

Just FYI, In var/logs you can find a lot out about errors, especially in xorg.log

Theres even subsections in the linked thread about it

In /var/log there are three different files for Xorg:
Xorg.0.log, Xorg.0.log.old, Xorg.1.log
which one should I pick?

I’ve read all the thread already opened in the forum about this issue. But no solution so far.
