Cool reader would not start. I ran:
$ pamac build coolreader

Quite often AUR packages do indeed need to be rebuilt after doing the system upgrade. ![]()
Thanks.
But here are some facts:
pamac.Can it be: Coolreader was in the Manjaro repo when I installed it on 2024-02-27 (my records) > it was subsequently removed from that repo > it broke today finally > and I got an AUR version today?
This may well be the case re. it being relegated to the AUR at some point. This does happen sometimes. ![]()
coolreader was added to the AUR 3 months ago (2026-04-06), so it can be assumed that it was removed from Arch’s official repos around that time:

ventoy 1.1.14 cannot boot if Secure Boot is disabled. ![]()
The problem appears to have been remedied in 1.1.16, which is already in Testing, but considering how much time elapses between Stable Updates these days, it might be a good idea to push 1.1.16 out sooner, lest it might leave people without a bootable rescue USB. ![]()

I really in need for that new ventoy version, i just refreshed my USB sticks yesterday to Ventoy 1.1.14 and my new PC (with secure boot disable) will face this issue then.
