You don’t need to. It’s referring to old packages that currently link to 3.11, which you’d need to rebuild so they link to the latest library. I’m not entirely sure why that comment is up there, as an up-to-date system will already be using Python 3·12, though I haven’t updated yet myself.

My suggestion would be to do the update, then if Python programs from AUR and/or PIP are failing, reinstall them. That’s the approach I’ll be taking when I have time to upgrade.
