Think i’ve fixed it now, i’m not sure how i had GLBinding installed (maybe something i compiled from AUR), I removed GLBlinding and that remove glinfo so now i can install mesa-demos without problems, so yeah GLXGears works again:)

Glad you fixed it. :smiley:

It seems the AUR package (glbinding-git) noticed and fixed a conflict a few months ago. If the package was built a while back that would explain it. Rebuilding it should not cause the problem again.

There is also currently a more recent version of glbinding in the Manjaro repositories that comes directly from Arch itself. Personally I would try that version first if it is still wanted/needed.

The glbinding package was from Manjaro Repositorie and so far i have not run into any problems with it removed, but i still don’t know how or why it was installed in the first place, i’m guessing something from AUR needed it and was installed as a Dependencie, but whatever program that was i may not be using/have it still installed.

So all’s well in Manjaro World;)

i just updated on my laptop with sudo pacman -Syyu and it broke the wifi.
Unfortunately that laptop has no ethernet port… how can i fix that?
In the settings it says “no wifi-fi adaptor found”…

Alway check your /var/log/pacman.log for packages which got updated. Qualcomm Atheros QCA9377 should not have an issue.

Hi,
I noticed that the kde display setup now has problems reflecting the correct dual monitor layout. The two monitors need to have a wide gap inbetween otherwise the content will over write from one dispaly to the other. Likewise the height level is not as it physically is.

You must update to kernel 4.19 using phone tethering for a viable internet connection. The other option is to delete the version 6 firmware if you have no other option but to remain on kernel 4.14.

Sadly this adapter has another firmware problem again. Seems never ending with this adapter. There have been numerous posts about this adapter for the last week. Luckily it is a pretty easy fix.

I have the same issue for about 3 Months, i regenerate my x11 nvidia config with nvidia-settings that helps for me.

The Issue what i have is that my usb3 stick not working always but by brothers pc it working everytime and its also an Manjaro KDE, lsusb dont show the usb stick.

Thanks guys went smooth on my gaming desktop and surface pro 2 both with cinnamon it also fixed the kde connect indicator. Love this distro recommend to any sick of windows and/or Mac

on that laptop i can update to kernel 4.19 without issues, so i hope that’ll be fine.
[edit:] yep! I used usb tethering with the phone to get internet (no idea why I didn’t think of that myself) just updated the kernel to 4.19 and wifi works again! awesome!

On my other laptop though I desperately need 4.14, because of a non-related issue (I use it to develop applications with intel realsense cameras, which i only got working on 4.14…).
So I won’t update there until I figured out how to fix it for 4.14. As far as i understand that should be possible though as well.

Updated all 3 machines using the ctrl-alt-F2 tty method for a perfect update. However, on one machine that uses NVidia 390 (other 2 machines use Nouveau), the screen blanked, so I waited for the hard drive to stop showing activity and re-pressed ctrl-alt-f2. Screen came back on and update completed successfully. Just putting this out there in case anyone else has a screen blank during tty update.
