[Stable Update] 2018-12-14 - Kernels, Nvidia, Deepin, Cinnamon, Pamac, Browsers, Thunderbird, Wine

mesa-demos 8.4.0-1 has glxgears.
pacman -Si mesa-demos 8.4.0-1

Nice and smooth update for my old Aspire pc and Asus Zenbook UX410UQ. New Whisker menu color is nice.
Could you change home icon color in Thunar side panel; because it not visible.

Updated my 5 DELL (intel) computers without issues.
Again very nice work Team Manjaro! Thank you.

No issues on Cinnamon and LXDE (this time both updated with Pamac). Thanx for another stable update!

Don’t worry is not something serious. Open a terminal and run:

sudo pacman -Syyuu

No issues on XFCE and LXQT with Kernel 4.19.

No problems here - all works fine … as usual :slightly_smiling_face:

Done without issues. Thanks man!

Everything ok on xfce
Thank you Manjaro Team!!!

No problems here on Manjaro Deepin with kernel 4.19.8-2. Thank you Devs!

kernel 4.19.8-2 deepin stopped the shift key from functioning so cannot log in as uppercase character in pw. caps lock still works (lit) but does not result in uppercase character so cannot log in…(keyb shows UK which it is)

All smooth here on xfce intel core 2 duo T 8100 and intel GM965 graphics (Dell Studio 1535)
systemd 239.303-1 working flawlessly as well on this notebook. Updated via terminal (no gui).

Manjaro XFCE:
I get this error now when trying to shut down:

Failed to run action "Log Out..."
Session manager must be in idle state when requesting a shutdown

I was able to restart from terminal, but same problem occured again.

Solution: After several repeated reboots had no effect, this was resolved with full computer power-off and restart.

I’ve encountered no issues with this update on KDE. “Newer than core” systemd is still totally fine for me.

Hi and thanks, but it will not install mesa-demos 8.4.0-1 because glinfo already exists in filesystem!?, i would need to force install mesa-demos and i don’t want to break my system, so i am unsure why glinfo is already installed as mesa-demos are now not installed?, really confused by all this.

What is returned by
pacman -Qo /usr/bin/glinfo

guys, I’ve noticed this: using compiz there are no more labels when I move the pointer over the notification area, for example when pointer is over pamac’s icon I can’t see “you’re system is up-to-date”, same on battery and connection icons.
until yesterday’s update the labels were there.
if I disabled compiz labels come back

i can’t risk uninstalling my python packages. I think i’ll just add python-pip to IgnorePkg for now.

/usr/bin/glinfo is owned by glbinding 3.0.2-1

Does that help?

XFCE, 4.19.8-2

Everything went smoothly! Thanks for the hard work.
