Mouse Can't click certain items

Hi, and thanks, after this last round of updates, for some reason after varying amounts of time, my mouse cannot click certain things like browser tabs, desktop menus, dragging items, but other things will be fine like my IDE (Webstorm). I am using the community build of Awesome. So it is version 4.3 and using Lua 5.4. I can use shortcuts on the menus and the browser tabs, so the apps or the DE is not frozen. Any help with this would be greatly appreciated.

Hi, I apologize for bumping the post but I need to get this fixed, I have to restart my computer multiple times a day because of this. I would greatly appreciate any help figuring this out.

thanks

This might be a dumb question but have you tried your mouse on another PC and checked if the problem persists? I recently had the same issue with an expensive but old gamer mouse which had a hardware defect. Mouses will get double- and no-click issues after some time of use.

Other than that I can’t help you out.

The problem mysteriously went away, but I have a backup mouse, the exact same model and it did the same thing but thanks for the effort
