[Stable Update] 2017-06-18 - Kernels, Plasma, KDE Apps, Firefox, Thunderbird, Mesa

Firefox went quiet, needs pulseaudio. If I install that, will the rest break?
(edit - posting as a new thread)

I had the same problem. I solved it by removing the link to /usr/share/themes/Firefox/Vertex-Maia-Dark/chrome/ in ~/.mozilla/firefox/9shb6xj3.default/

These files should not replace the current ones especially

I had the same kind of problem, but needed to check this slightly different list:

    pacman -Qo /usr/lib/qt/qml/QtQuick/Controls/*.qmlc
    pacman -Qo /usr/lib/qt/qml/QtQuick/Controls/Private/*.qmlc
    pacman -Qo /usr/lib/qt/qml/QtQuick/Controls/Private/*.jsc
    pacman -Qo /usr/lib/qt/qml/QtQuick/Controls/Styles/Base/*.qmlc
    pacman -Qo /usr/lib/qt/qml/QtQuick/Controls/Styles/Desktop/*.qmlc
    pacman -Qo /usr/lib/qt/qml/QtGraphicalEffects/*.qmlc
    pacman -Qo /usr/lib/qt/qml/QtGraphicalEffects/private/*.qmlc

They all got ‘No package owns’, so I deleted them.
Thanks to thefallenrat for the clue.

I have the same issue.
I thought it gones from to my icon package.

Issue does not seem to be related to a specific icon set. The applet shows the wrong icon no matter what icon set is used.

@DaryleWB Have you found a solution to the problem (high CPU usage for kwin and plasmashell)? I am facing the same issue in one of my notebooks and I started a separate topic on that (see link below). I suggest you share your experience there.

@jsbach No, not a very helpful solution anyway, I suspect.

I’d originally planned to try each DE for a month. I stuck with KDE for longer that that only because I liked it quite a lot. Eventually, I went ahead and nuked the whole thing to give the other spins a try. I haven’t found anything that I like more than KDE yet, but haven’t gotten back round to it.
