Regardless of if you run it in a business or personal use, if you are not doing backups you will eventually have a problem. Regardless of if its rolling release or static LTS.
Use something like Timeshift. Timeshift is available on almost every Linux distro. Most will offer an autosnap that takes a snapshot automatically before every upgrade. It takes longer each upgrade, but its peace of mind and can save hours of headache if an update fubars your system.
As a 20 year Linux user I long ago gave up on nvidia. The few frames you get in games are not worth the hours fixing bugs when the drivers are known to leave you with a black screen at some point.
For a business computer go with a stable desktop like Xfce. They have a history of being stable and only making small incremental improvements. KDE and Gnome may be flashy, but they are under heavy development, and that leads to bugs. Stability has its benefits.
