Soundcard not detected after upgrading system

Since a week ago my integrated sound card stopped working.
I did a system upgrade but it took some time before I realized it was the software, I was checking hardware at first.
I get the startup log:

$ sudo journalctl -b0 -p4 --no-hostname

Tried all the different solutions I’ve found from various Linux distros but with no luck.
I also tried upgrading the kernel with different versions (4.14, 4.19, 5.4, 5.6 and now 5.7)

you should submit a report bug ,
because you dont load codecs for B150M MSI

Here in Manjaro forum, or?

@stephane, I could not find any bug report section for Manjaro.
Is it for the Arch kernel?
I tried installing 5.3 kernel instead since I saw some people had similar problems with sound missing but it seems to be some race condition.

the alsa-info is not showing much about the onboard audio device as it crashes very early in the boot process

[ 2.515038] snd_hda_intel 0000:00:1f.3: CORB reset timeout#1, CORBRP = 0
[ 2.515045] snd_hda_intel 0000:00:1f.3: no codecs found!

web searches to find out what this CORB error is did not find much and it was inconclusive
I found 2 discussions on Arch forum with the same error message, but in both cases the discussion did not get anywhere because the fault disappeared before any troubleshooting could be done
this bug report had more explanation, but also ended up unresolved
https://bugzilla.kernel.org/show_bug.cgi?id=114341

It appears to be a problem specific to skylake CPU and BIOS firmware in some motherboards

suggest check if there is a firmware update available for this board and update BIOS if possible

or reset the BIOS if an update is not available

thanks for your tip.
The BIOS has not been updated since I bought the board, several years ago so it was a good idea.
I did update the motherboard to the latest version today and the error is still reported during boot up:

Just to report back.
Yesterday the sound was back, I guess something was changed in the latest update I got.
Congratz to me

NO : congrats to dev kernels
