Hello
So i’ve switched from windows to manjaro and installation went smoothly.
But i have this minor issue:
My sound only plays from the left speaker… i’ve tried changing volumes in alsamixer but no avail… it’s still playing mono sound.
system info:

i hope you friendly wizards can help this learning padawan a bit
Does it play actual mono sound but from the left speaker or do you just say that and it’s playing only the left channel?
Do you have sof-firmware installed?
Hi
I do have sof-firmware installed or at least thats what pacman tells me
Well if my balance is full right you can hear the sound very faintly with a high pitched tone (like tinitus)

try switching kernels, install the 5.17 and the 5.10, reboot and select the 5.17 in grub menu and test with it, do the same with the 5.10
Did you deliberately install pulseaudio and pipewire?
Try only one of them: pamac install manjaro-pipewire
(It will uninstall a few packages and might remove too much. Please check carefully which packages will be removed, if in doubt, post them here first before confirming.)

No i didn’t install pipewire and i can’t remove it either…
the only deliberate thing i installed was alsamixer
Ok thank you all for helping me much appreciated!
I somehow solved the problem…
i listened with speakers on bluetooth and it sounded normal… then i switched back to listening on manjaro again and pooof it worked
so solved
