[SOLVED] Solaar runtime error : solaar File "import solaar.gtk ModuleNotFoundError:"

Installed solaar using pacman -S solaar. All well , but

solaar Traceback (most recent call last): File "/usr/bin/solaar", line 59, in <module> import solaar.gtk ModuleNotFoundError: No module named 'solaar'

pacman -F solaar.gtk returns empty.

Hello,

solaar is a python3 program and python3 has been updated recently.
solaar.gtk is not an installable package.

Check this:
$ python --version
Python 3.9.1

$ ls -ld /usr/lib/python3.9/site-packages/solaar
/usr/lib/python3.9/site-packages/solaar

or:
$ find /usr/lib -name ‘solaar
/usr/lib/python3.9/site-packages/solaar-1.0.4-py3.9.egg-info
/usr/lib/python3.9/site-packages/solaar

Maybe reinstall via Add/Remove Software helps
or perhaps you’ve to update your system as such.
I did this major system-update yesterday without any issues.
(KDE-Environment, Kernel 5.4.80 --> 5.4.85, Nvidia 440.100 --> 455.45.01)
(GNOME: not yet because its better to keep a working installation alive for a while).

The re-install was the fix.

Are you using solaar from the community repo or solaar-git from the AUR?
