[SOLVED] Lightdm fails to start

After lastest upgrade I tried to restart lightdm and it hanged. I reboot the machine and the lightdm.service fails to start.

I have tried to disable and enable the module, uninstall and install it along with slick-greeter, but it didn’t work.

Any sugguestions?

try sudo lightdm –-test-mode --debug

Thanks for the tip!

Lightdm was searching for another greeter than the one installed.
On /etc/lightdm/lightdm.conf I had to add explicitly the greeter by adding this line on the [Seat:*] section:
greeter-session=lightdm-slick-greeter

Now the service starts correctly.
