[SOLVED] Computer doesn't shut down

Well, I don’t know of anything else, so any recommendations are welcome. Like I said, I’ve bever done, or tried doing this, or even something like this.

I was merely making the suggestion based on eliminating it. It’s what I would’ve done. But alternative options are more than welcome.

I’m guessing see if there’s anything in your home (~/) and/or in the /etc directories. But once again, I’ve never done this or anything like it. (I would’ve reinstalled by now.)

OK, phew! Turns out updating the motherboard’s BIOS to the latest version did in fact fix the problem. Thanks everyone!
