Smplayer : several seconds delay in playing next file in the playlist

SMplayer is a good GUI player in Linux.

  1. However, it take several seconds (delay) between files in playlist.
    Is there a setting some where to make it play next file seamlessly ? or at least not such obvious delay.
  2. the speed setting (i play file in x2.0 speed) returned to normal after it switch to a next file in playlist… is there way to make it remember my speed setting ? instead of having to change the speed setting again after every file .

  1. This is the expected behaviour: SMPlayer will buffer your video so you can play at 2x speed without any hiccups.
  2. SMPlayer does not have this functionality AFAIK and why I went back to VLC Player…
