'smooth scrolling' isn't working

system settings > general behavior > scrolling > prefer smooth scrolling

enabling smooth scrolling results in the same behavior as when disabled - for ex. in Kate, documents still scroll abruptly with mouse wheel, 3 lines at a time

the setting appears to have no effect in any KDE app

what i’m trying to achieve is silky smooth scrolling, such as in Firefox when the smooth scroll option is enabled

mouse is a Logitech G502 X

The setting you reference

  • it is labelled Clicking in scrollbar track
  • so relevant for the scrollbar track
  • not for the scrolling itself
  • have you read the short info when clicking the :white_question_mark:
  • the setting may or may not have effect - depending on application

crap - i was looking so forward to smooth vertical scrolling in documents that all i saw was ‘scrolling’ and ‘smooth’ :slight_smile:
