Hi to you all.
I’ve been enjoying kde manjaro for a year now and never had any troubles. For fun I have been distro hopping but came back to manjaro. Now with the latest distro iso i get a very slow desktop. All programs take a while to start or glitches. I tried the Gnome version, this worked perfectly, but I don’t like Gnome. So I downloaded it again, but I got the same slow, slow desktop.
Does anyone can help me with this? It would be very much apreciated!

I hope this is what you need.
did it happened also in live usb of manjaro kde? or only in the installation?
try differen kernels - 5.10 and 5.19
Hi, thanks for your help. The problem only exists on installation. I have tried both 5.10 and 5.19. But the problem stays. I have search the internet and came with realtime kernels what could help. Only, the realtime kernel would be a downgrade. From 5.19.7-1 to 5.19.0_rt10_3. I have installed this kernel, but how do I get it activ?
*Edit: I have booted in the grub rescue and there I could choose the kernel. It is a little bit better, but not as snappy as it used to be for me
you get it active the same way as you did when you tried the 5.10 and the 5.19, you install them, and select them in the grub menu/advanced options during boot
Yes, I have the rtl kernel now running. But the problem exists anyway.
go to system settings/file search and uncheck all of the search option, click apply; if it didnt helped, provide logs:
journalctl -b0 -p4 --no-pager
uncheck the search option was the solution! It also made my cpu running much lower and the laptop less hot. Thank you very much for your help!
