Slow file transfer in kde and very high CPU usage

The fle transfer is very slow in kde, I have not experienced slow file transfer in any other DE (XFCE, Cinnamon, Gnome).

The file transfer is between external HDD USB 3.0 , Mobile, pendrive and in all mode of file transfer.

There would be no reason to have slower performances with data transfer on KDE Plasma vs other DE, unless kde-baloo is running in that moment, and due to the HDD you have

it can take a while. Let it finish and do your tests again.

agreed spindal speed is low

5400 RPM drives, 5400 RPM drives offer an average of 100 MB/s read and writes speeds

7200 RPM drives deliver an average of 120 MB/s read and writes speeds

a better option if you decide to upgrade go for the SSD drive.
a typical SSD will deliver read/write speed of between 200 MB/s to 550 MB/s

How to disable KDE baloo
