Lvm is logical volume manager.
mine udisk is 106ms udisks2.service
…
you are using hdd not an sdd so that is also one of the reasons…
dev-loop0.device
- these are probably related to snap, so if you have installed any snap packages replace them, and then disable completely snap …
ModemManager.service
- this can be safely disabled if you are using modem;
cups.service
- this is for printing, so if you are not using prineters all cups services can be disabled;
lvm2-monitor.service
- this is for logical volumes, so if you dont have any logical volumes, can be disabled too
snapd.service
this is related to snap, as mentioned above, can be disabled
i have disabled snap, cups and modemmanager for the time being. i didnt disable lvm because my hdd has a logical volume and disabling snap didnt fix the dev-loop0 thing
i do have one snap package called ‘core’ and i dont know if that has anything to do with the system. should i completely remove it?
post output from:
snap list
Name Version Rev Tracking Publisher Notes
core 16-2.57.1 13741 latest/stable canonical✓ core
so yes remove it …
then completely uninstall snapd from add/remove software, that should also remove the snapd services …
then clear leftovers:
rm -rf ~/snap
sudo rm -rf /snap
sudo rm -rf /var/snap
sudo rm -rf /var/lib/snapd
Seems to have fixed it (dev-loop0)
did you masked all cups services?
also you probably running both pulse+pipewire, post output from:
inxi -A
Audio:
Device-1: Intel 5 Series/3400 Series High Definition Audio
driver: snd_hda_intel
Sound Server-1: ALSA v: k5.18.16-zen1-1-zen running: yes
Sound Server-2: PipeWire v: 0.3.56 running: yes
im not sure how many cups services there are but i only masked cups.service
. Where can i see all others?
ok, so you running only pipewire …
then there are also those avahi services, so you can mask both of them, if you are not using it …
what are those used for?
it is used if you are on a local network, to find printers, files etc …
ill keep it on
also you can disable some services from system settings/backround services…
here is what i have disabled:
i disabled a few of them so it should be a bit faster now .
Can you post the output of systemctl
on console ?

Hi @embrance,
Please open a new support ticket with your problem, including the necessary information as per:
- [HowTo] Provide System Information,
- [HowTo] Post screenshots and links,
- [HowTo] Request support, and
- [HowTo] Post command output and file content as formatted text.
Hope you manage!
Tip:
To provide terminal output, copy the text you wish to share, and paste it here, surrounded by three (3) backticks, a.k.a grave accents. Like this:
```
pasted text
```
This will just cause it to be rendered like this:
Portaest sed
elementum
cursus nisl nisi
hendrerit ac quis
sit
adipiscing
tortor sit leo commodo.
Instead of like this:
Portaest sed elementum cursus nisl nisi hendrerit ac quis sit adipiscing tortor sit leo commodo.
Alternatively, paste the text you wish to format as terminal output, select all pasted text, and click the </> button on the taskbar. This will indent the whole pasted section with one TAB, causing it to render the same way as described above.
Thereby improving legibility and making it much easier for those trying to be of assistance.
Also, if your language isn’t English, please prepend any and all terminal commands with
LC_ALL=C
. For example:
